Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X Open-back Studio Mixing Headphones

Open-back Circumaural Studio Headphones with Detachable Cable
Beyerdynamic didn't earn their prestige as one of today's most reliable manufacturers of mic and headphone technology by accident, and the DT 900 Pro Xs carry on this legacy exceptionally well. Not only do they deliver a highly detailed studio-quality sound, but optimizations throughout make for one of Beyerdynamic's best-performing pairs of cans to date. To ensure power and clarity with any audio source, DT 900 Pro Xs boast STELLAR.45 drivers, with a convenient detachable cable for quick storage in between uses. As with all their headphone offerings, Beyerdynamic focused heavily on user experience, going so far as to craft new ear pads to deliver uncompromising comfort for lengthy studio sessions and general listening.

Reference-grade monitoring — no room required

While the Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X sounds amazing on its own, Beyerdynamic’s Headphone Lab software elevates it into the functional realm of reference-grade monitoring. Free to DT-series headphone owners, Headphone Lab is a studio-simulation plug-in that re-creates the sound and spatial behavior of professional studio monitors in an acoustically treated room. An indispensable asset for engineers working in less-than-ideal environments, the software employs advanced crossfeed modeling, HRTFs (Head-Related Transfer Functions), and optional room simulation to deliver a natural stereo image, accurate depth, and reliable spatial perception, while also optimizing tonal balance by utilizing a scientifically developed studio sound profile. Headphone Lab allows you to fine-tune realism by adjusting ear spacing, head circumference, and speaker angle. Moreover, you can select between a broad-stroke Standard Calibration based on what Beyerdynamic refers to as its Golden Sample or an ultra-precise Factory Calibration using the exact production measurements of your actual physical headphones. Compatible with major DAWs on Windows and macOS and requiring no subscription, Headphone Lab provides a convenient, cost-free way to achieve mixes that translate consistently across various playback systems.
